It always gives me such a thrill to see one of my drawings on a book cover, makes me want to go into the store and buy up the whole shelf load!

I am particularly proud of this book though, its a tough read of a woman’s real life struggle with breast cancer and the bonds that strengthen with the people around her during her journey.’  Leanne Kaye’s My Secret Legacy is in bookshops this month but hurry as I may have bought their stock :-), Trudy.

There are so many mixed emotions that you go through as an artist when you are trying a new idea. Excitement, fear, and all of the hope! Not knowing if it will work or indeed if you even have the skills needed to see your vision to its conclusion. Here’s to enjoying the roller coaster ride of the creative journey. Wishing you all the best of luck with your own journeys today.

Ps. For those of you that are interested, I always start by blocking in as much of the canvas as possible. I work on the whole area continuously, unlike some artists who complete sections at a time.
