Sorry forgot to post more WIP of this bit of painted fabric. I think it’s finished now. For those interested the greens I used are olive Olive, hookers, perm enact light, a bit of titanium white and a little Prussian blue.

There are so many mixed emotions that you go through as an artist when you are trying a new idea. Excitement, fear, and all of the hope! Not knowing if it will work or indeed if you even have the skills needed to see your vision to its conclusion. Here’s to enjoying the roller coaster ride of the creative journey. Ps. For those of you that are interested, I always start by blocking in as much of the canvas as possible. I work on the whole area continuously, unlike some artists who complete sections at a time.

I don’t think I have mentioned how much I love painting hands and feet. Well not today anyway!

I love painting eyes too, Windows to the soul and all that. No pressure to make them expressive then….! .

Have got a couple of little helpers in the studio with me for a while. Cute as they are, it’s quite difficult to paint when they are having a ‘bundle’ around me or with one of them asleep on my lap!
